"Staff were so helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and they really tried to make things as easy as possible. Being at the older end we didn't enjoy the Halloween disco in the bar but it was possible to find a quieter space and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Drinks were quite expensive but the food was reasonably priced. The breakfast choice and quality was outstanding."

"Very warm welcome, both for us humans and especially the dog (complimentary bed/treats and dog bowl for her use during the stay). Dog welcomed throughout the hotel including main restaurant. Meal at dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Warm, spotlessly clean room, well appointed, close to the bar/restaurant and had a convenient small garden space for the dog's convenience. We'll be coming back. "

"A nice stay but a few things could’ve been improved. Food was lovely and staff were friendly. However they just don’t have enough staff so the service was really slow. The room wasn’t great for the money we paid either. It was overlooked a bit and next to the kitchen so outside was a bit scruffy. The toilet was broken too and my husband had to fix it. Parking was a bit of an issue too. When we arrived we couldn’t even get a space on the same road. Lovely location though as walkable...

"This is a fabulous dog-friendly hotel. We stayed 2 nights and met friends for a meal in the restaurant on one. The food in the restaurant was superb! Our room was beautiful and spacious. The staff were lovely and the grounds great for walking and relaxing. We also had the best hotel ironing board ever! It actually warranted its own picture! Who needs a full blown ironing board in a hotel? Now I want one of these at home!"
