"We came on a holiday retreat with plans of snorkeling on Saturday. Very polite and friendly staff and really nice and spacious room. Unfortunately I have to take one star off as we fell ill after having dinner at the hotel restaurant and we were room bound for a day of our three day stay. We did manage to go snorkeling on Sunday but still fell frail after the days we had. Snorkeling trip and tortoise view is highly recommended. Only advice, avoid dinner here. Breakfast is ok and the shop sells instant noodles and crisps. Next time we'll come here again and bring some more food with us"

"Paradise is a fantastic budget option for a solo traveler or esp a family that doesnt need pampering but wants a safe, clean, pleasant place. The staff are super helpful and Oaradise offers people a cha ce to enjoy Redang's amazing sea life without spending hundreds of dollars a day in the nearby resorts. If you plan to enjoy the water and just want a room for sleeping, also olenty of space for a group, this place is it. I walked into the water in front of this place and saw turtles, sharka and lots of pretty coral and fish. Hint: bring your own snorkel gear and you don't have to wait til the noisy boars leave with big groups at 9 or 10. Early morning is magical. The backside of the island is worth exploring too, but behind beach resorts you'll see the business end of them. Infistrial equipment, trash dump, etc. If you are picky about wanting the pristine enclosure, then maybe pick one of the more expensive resorts. They range from a minimum of $120 a night to $800. There were families with young children at Paradise and everyone seemed to be having a good time.Again, the staff were great, the food yummy, and the room no frills but perfectly fine and as described. This goes for all budget places, but if you are a light aleepwr, bring earplugs. Walls are thin and there's outdoor music til 1030. "

"Stayed in renovated room. Nothing exciting about the rooms. Drab bathrooms. Food not worth talking unfortunately (even the local food is boring) about but plentiful. No alcohol allowed on premises but smoking is allowed everywhere. Wifi only at reception area. Pool seems to have under repairs for sometime."

"This property is located in a beautiful spot especially since the lodges are on a hill with amazing views. But the upkeep of the lodges is poor. Simple things such as the bathroom sink with black mould & the tiles oozing fugul are not necessary. Maybe cause we visited mid October when everything started to close down? The staff are accommodating but don’t give many choices due to their not being any when getting around the island. If your on this side & have not prearranged bout trips your stuck on 1 beach with little options. Also getting a scooter is a waste of time as there is only the road leading to the jeti no other roads unless you trek through the woodland which takes nearly 2 hours. There is wild life in the jungle so at your own risk unless you hire a guide. Also make sure you use bug repellent & bug relief because you will be eaten alive. No real English breakfast except at the hotel if they have it. Again it was end of season. "

"The hotel room furniture is old and sad state. The bed should be changed to high quality mattress. The hotel has a bit of traditional vibe. They have hot shower too. The room furniture and breakfast options are huge disappointment. I hope the hotel management can invest more to improve the quality."

"Very nice hotel, and the best hotels in Malaysia ever. Professional people, many activities, good facilities, beautiful and convenient beach, But need to improve the dining level."
