Don't stay here. Despite having paid in advance when I booked the room on Expedia, I was charged again on check in. Although we're in the 21st century, they keep a handwritten piece of paper with names of people who have prepaid, and my name wasn't on there. I spent 20 minutes on a chat with Expedia to resolve this, and the clerk finally agreed to refund me. Back to my room, only to learn my key had been disabled. The room was old, a bug floated in the toilet, and it was cold. That's because the temperature was fixed at 16.5 C and they have disabled the ability to change this via the thermostat. If you are cold, you will remain so. If you're not, you soon will be. Everything is a bit goofy: the light switch closest to my bed controls the light over the other bed, and vice versa. Plugs are difficult to access. The toilet is broken such that is refills itself non stop. Eventually, you're brain will tune out the sound. There are several nearby hotels. Pick any one of them. Just don't pick this one.

Room was dirty the screen was missing out of the window with a bunch of trash below the window looked like someone was living outside the windows garbage all over the property the door lock was broken off asked for an extra pillow and a blanket and they said they didnt have any

The room was clean, but the furnace didn't work properly so the room was cold. There were homeless people set up outside the front door. Not the most appealing at the entrance to a hotel.

The Motel 6 has gone down hill severly since my last stay 2 yewrs ago. I now kniw why the City of Red Deer has laid fines against the motel. The backdoor was always propped open and no staff seemed to care. My first room had a broken heater unit, second one had holes in the wall. Went in a cleaned the counter as it was dust covered. Bathroom vent was broken and open fpr people to play with. I would recommend a change in ownership as there appears to be little care for the faciltity and brand of Motel 6

there was a blood smear in the elevator for two days. the bathtub is very small and an odd shape

I guess you get what you pay for. Old, smelly, stained carpets, tub stopper that won't stop water from draining, no coffee maker in the room, and breakfast is burnt coffee and stale cereal. At least the pillows were comfy.
