The lobby seemed clean enough, but there are people living out of their cars in the parking lot. They were there all four days I stayed. There’s also a makeshift encampment in the back of the hotel. The hallways smelled of marijuana and wallpaper was peeling in the room.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, we had to get the keys to our room re-keyed several times. They did have a gym area, but you had to go get the staff to let you in because the key card was broken. Several outlets in the room did not work, and heating/air unit went out on 3rd day of our stay. I will say that they were very apologetic and quickly gave us a different room, which goes a long way as far has fixing an issue!

This was an adequate location for our last minute trip. I only rated it average because the staff was friendly but not overly excited to welcome us. The two mattresses were not turned -ever, so one side was obviously slept on while the other felt like it was almost two inches higher and never slept on. When we were trying to locate someone to turn in our keycard, they were outside in their car, parked in a place they could see the door, but not attentive until I had been calling in the back and walking around for several minutes.

Its a great alternative to the high priced options in the area. Sonesta is a new hotel chain buying old courtyard and residence inn locations. Its not the taj mahal, but comfortable, clean and convenient. Id expect them to get better over time.
