The building was old and the room we stayed in was small but adequate. Being in the heart of Old Quebec, I was not surprised by its size. Nevertheless, our hostess, Victoria, was exceptionally gracious and helpful. She greeted us upon our arrival and gave us all the basic information like breakfast time and where to park and how to contact her with any and all questions related to our stay. The breakfast dining area while small was always kept clean, spotless, and organized.
For those who have trouble climbing stairs, I would suggest to stay in one of the ground floor rooms because the stairs to the second floor is a bit steep.
The building was a stone's throw from Chateau Frontenac and the promenade. It is near many restaurants and other eateries. So in that regard, it was very convenient.
Victoria was always ready early in the morning to make breakfast for all the guests with a smile. She gave us suggestions on places to visit outside Quebec City which we took advantage of.
As for parking, which was a concern of mine, wasn't bad a all. We parked in front of the building to unload our luggage then at Victoria's suggestion, parked our car at a nearby indoor parking lot. The cost for parking was a relatively reasonable $18 a day plus taxes.
Overall, the stay was very lovely and I quite enjoyed the hospitality.
