This resort despite its rating fell short of our expectations. We appreciated that our room was dark and quiet. The front desk was helpful in arranging taxis for our ventures to the town of Iguazu and the falls.
The downside: Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the natural area. It was damp and very musty smelling. Upon departure, black mold was discovered in one of the drawers. The mini fridge did not work. We told the front desk three times. Their response was “We know”. No effort was made to fix or replace it. The servers in the restaurants, particularly the breakfast and tiki bar were very unenthusiastic and almost seemed to make an effort to avoid serving their guests. Very few looked as if they were having a good day or enjoying their work. We were disappointed that this hotel did not provide drinking water outside of the 2 small bottles a day. A resort with ratings and prices like this one should at least include sufficient drinking water instead of overcharging.
