The park was inaugurated in 1940, with diminutive versions of homes, chapels and mills. There is an entrance fee for adults, with discounts for kids. The site opens daily from morning until late afternoon.
Portugal dos Pequenitos is on the quieter western side of the Mondego River, near the heart of Coimbra. Walk southwest from Coimbra Railway Station for 15 minutes to reach the attraction. Visit nearby sights, such as the Coimbra University Stadium, the Pedro and Inês Footbridge and the Mosteiro de Santa Clara.
