"To entrance is within the porte cochere. Middle of the block. You can avoid paying the $40 per day valet charge and self park at the hanover st garage or the foundry garage. We parked at the foundry garage for $1/ hr. Its a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Everything in downtown portsmouth is within walking distance and felt very safe. Strawberry Banke is a 15 minute walk and quite enjoyable. We ate at the hearth food court, it was lovely. Theres plenty of choices for food and beverage within walking distance. The only dislike i had for the hotel, was that the bed was to hard for my liking. The water pressure and space was great however. We would stay here again and i would recommend it. "

"The place and our room was very clean. They put us in a room very close to the entrance of the inn because I told them beforehand my mom was disabled and couldn’t walk far. It was very quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The breakfast was good. The staff at the front desk were phenomenal. They were very helpful with giving us tips on places to eat and things to do, along with printed out directions how to get there. They were the most kindest people I met in a long time. I also, felt safe there because it was well lit and on a Main Street. Overall, we were very satisfied and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in Portsmouth, N. H. "
