"Beautiful remote Sardinia, this hotel is set in beautiful, exceptionally kept grounds. Ample parking, a lovely room, beautiful gardens. Staff very welcoming, got by even with little English/Italian. Wish I had been staying for longer than 1 night but this was just a stopover on our way from South Sardinia to the North. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, we went for pizza and it was excellent. Absolute bargain stay, would highly recommend. "

"Lovely situation, overlooking the river and with restaurants and shops in the street just behind. Staff were not very friendly - reception was very businesslike and the cleaner complained at 9.10am that we were still in the room and would not be able to come back later to clean the room! Staff at breakfast were very slow to respond to our requests. No parking outside on a busy street, so we had to drop our bags off and look for parking elsewhere, which worked reasonably well. Room was clean but small, no tea/coffee facilities, television reception poor and monitor was desktop size, mattress was foam (very uncomfortable), aircon poor and shower door damaged."

"My son enjoyed our stay in this calm oasis in the middle of nowhere. We actually just stayed put for the two nights and went nowhere. Enjoyed the pool. My son loved playing with the cats. The set dinner included in our stay (a fish and a meat option) was amazing on both evenings and their own wine was very enjoyable. I was disappointed we couldn’t buy any to take home. Would definitely recommend this place and would next time take a trip to the coast as beach is meant to be amazing. "

"Vista room was perfect, if you don’t mind stairs. We loved opening the curtain in the morning to a view of colorful houses and the castle. The hosts were very friendly and offered great advise on restaurants. We’ll be back!"

" First of all, if you are driving, this is not located in the town on San Vero Mills, but in the town of Putzu Idu. It can be confusing as SVM is a town and an area. Once we stayed here a few days I wished we had not chosen this spot. There are such better towns and beaches just north with much more to do and much prettier towns and beaches. "The property was lovely, clean and quiet. However, the doors were finicky and old, difficult to unlock, even from the inside, which could be problematic in a fire (even in a stone building!) The access to the street button in the lobby was not working either but we went through the cafe to get out."

"Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant. Great location, with fabulous outlook and views. Very clean, spacious rooms. Big balconies. Decent breakfast with lots of choice. Huge pool. Nice outdoor bar. Easy parking. Some tired furniture and carpets could do with refurbishment. More furniture required in larger rooms. Pool area could do with more landscaping and planting.
