Nice hotel with friendly staff

The hotel is in a business district. The restaurant on site is good, the free breakfast was great with a buffet and eggs to order. There is a great supermarket with a good lunch just a block away. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is a short ride by taxi or Uber to most places.

Rooms are very small. The bed takes up most of the room. They have no business centre or other area outside your tiny room to work. Overall uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were great also. The pool area was dirty and uninviting. Again only lounge area and no table and chairs where to work.

The best thing is the staff here. Very welcoming and friendly. Everyone is very pleasant to speak to. Just make things simple. Staff would go out and open your Uber’s door for. Small details like this is just wonderful. Loved it!! Definitely the go to for me in Porto Alegre!!

The Hotel Laghetto Stilo Higienópolis is a beautiful, well maintained property. Before my trip to Porto Alegre, I researched property after property to make sure my expectations of safety, cleanliness, and comfort were met. On these three points this hotel excels. You want to try and avoid rush hour traffic when arriving if you are planning on driving yourself. (New Yorker is going to be at home here if you have experience driving downtown) But that isn't the hotel's fault. Also, outside of those hours, traffic really isn't that bad. The hotel seems to be in a pretty good neighborhood. The entrance is actually on a side street. I went ahead and used the valet parking. With the exchange rate from USD, why wouldn't you? Really saves on the hassle of trying to find a parking spot. Immediately an attendant loaded my bags and check-in was effortless. I am fluent in Portuguese, but they seemed to have someone always available to speak English with my wife who does not speak Portuguese hardly at all. Now, why did I dock 1 star? If you are looking for a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel then go ahead. This is a great place. If you want to eat in said hotel, you might consider looking for a better restaurant. The fish was definitely out of date. At breakfast there were ants at our table. Not huge, we easily moved. Just compared to other places, meh. My place in Porto A;egre

Excelent service! I was was in Porto A;egre to take care of a sick parent, I felt taken care of by the people who work in the hotel, it really felt like a family. The food is great and the bed confortable. This is my third time there and I will keep going.

Hydromassage lacking, mediocre

The on site restaurant, and I mean no disrespect- would not attract any customers if not for this hotel. The food was not bad, and the quality of ingredients was VERY high, that overall equalizes down into what I think about this hotel. Nothing wrong with it, just has the potential for so much more than the sum of its parts. The jaccuzzi/hydromassage/hot tub is reservation only, they will NOT reserve it for you until check in. On checking in, right at 2pm on the dot, they tell me the only time is for 11 AM the next day. (Check out is at 12.) The spa runs 11-9. Why? Why can't it run better hours? Because forget you is why. And they only filled and started it when we reminded them (they had our appointment) so it was cold, and never got warm, during our hour there. The entire point of our stay was defused.
