"We didn’t plan on staying at Best Western in Dunkirk NY but were forced to exit I-90 west bound due to closure of freeway due to snow storm. The short notice booking charge for first night was $300.00 CAD and second night $198.00 USD plus tax for an average room.with kingsize bed. Honestly the pricing was ridiculously expensive but no choice due to weather "

"I recently stayed at the Colonial Motel of North East, PA, and I was blown away by the incredible hospitality and kindness of the family who owns and operates it. After being caught in a long snow-related traffic jam, I arrived early Saturday morning feeling weary. The family went out of their way to accommodate me, helping me get into a room early and even offering food to make sure I was comfortable. Their genuine care and dedication to their guests truly stood out. The room was spotless, cozy, and exactly what I needed to recharge. It’s clear this family takes great pride in their business and treats their guests like extended family. If you’re ever in the area, I can’t recommend the Colonial Motel enough. A big thank you to the team for making my stay so memorable and showing what true hospitality is all about!"

"I stay here every time I am taking my daughter to college or bringing her home. The property is just beautiful & has access to a beautiful walking path along Lake Erie. The staff is always super polite & helpful. Plenty of dining/shopping options nearby. SUNY Fredonia is an easy short drive up Central Ave. "

"What a gem! I typically stick with one of the big hotel chains but decided to give this a try based on reviews. Sooo glad I did. Charming place, fantastic rooms (dining table and a desk in addition to the two beds!), no stairs, parking right outside your room, clean and overall a win!"

If your expectations aren’t high, this is for you!

"It was fine for what we needed. A clean, bug free place to sleep and refresh. The woman who checked us in was pleasant and helpful to the surrounding area. The motel itself is like one from the 1980’s. However, as soon as you open the door you can see it is clean and smell the cleanliness. We ordered a Smoke-free room, and before we opened the door, I had my reservations because the drapes looked like they were stained with nicotine. It was only stain, the room had no smoke smell. TV was via antenna I believe. Every channel we could get was snowy. Not a big deal. Like I said, we only needed a place to sleep. "
