"The hotel is set in a rural area, with views of greenery. Public transport and local amenities close by. Beautiful inside and out, had a lovely room and bathroom so clean and comfortable. Just the mattress was not so good as felt the springs. Overall I was pleased with my stay. "

"Extremely soft mattresses and very limited evening meal with tiny pudding didn't take away from an excellent breakfast and absolute bargain price for a family. We would definitely stay here again and even plan our journey to stop here if we were going somewhere else early the next day which we were (Yorkshire wildlife park). Would go out for dinner though. "We stayed one night with our dog. I was a little doubtful on what the standard of room would be like due to us having a dog. The room was a good size, very clean and smelt pleasant. The grounds were also clean and plenty of small grassed areas for the dog to pop out. We stayed for breakfast which was hot snd tasty. All the staff where helpful and friendly. "

"Overall was better than expected although the window of n my room was small, high up & made the room cell like. The toiletries were good quality, the room looked nice & breakfast was nice reasonable although they had no vegetarian sausages. Although the rooms decor was good overall there were 2 things that let it down, firstly there was nowhere to hang anything as the wardrobe had no hangers and there was no hook behind the door for a coat, secondly & more importantly the bed was terrible...

"We were expecting a lovely country house with spa in a quiet location. We were not told that there was a wedding taking place right under our unglazed windows, the spa being a hot tub outside and the reception being a man in a tracksuit who had to be called to attend to us. Completely unprofessional. So bad we turned and walked back out. Disgraceful "
