Charming hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. Location is perfect for visiting old and new Plovdiv. Very friendly and helpful owner. We had to leave early for the bus to Velikov and the owner arranged for an (homemade) early breakfast and a taxi to the bus-station.

What a lovely place! The personal touch of a personally-run business, just minutes from the Plovdiv Old Town, so it's easy to walk in every day. But you also have quick access to all the fun and excitement of the modern-day Plovdiv entertainment area.

Everything was flawless - service, location, uniqueness, cleanliness, etc. Dimitar couldn’t be more attentive and kind. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Excellent & friendly service

We stayed a week in the hotel. Dimitri was excellent from the time we arrived and very helpful. Explained all the places to visit and how to get there. Breakfast was good and kept us going all morning and also varied daily. Final day my wife left her phone in the taxi and Dimitri helped us by calling the taxi driver and got him to deliver it it to the bus station.

Staying at the place is like visiting your best friends. It is very relaxing with a great personal touch. The owner who wears many hats is personally involved in everything, from breakfast to room service. He was also our tour guide in the sense that he pointed us to all the best spots to visit including a concert in a nearby ancient Greek amphitheater that was amazing. The experience is completely different than a stay in a big impersonal hotel. Highly recommended!

I’d travel to Plovdiv just to stay here!

The most spectacular stay ever. At arrival, we were met at the door by name. At check-in the owner, unsolicited, pulled out a map and showed us great sites to see, great restaurants to try, and the best routes to get there navigating the cobblestone streets in the dark. The whole building is exquisitely restored and painted in historical and traditional design. The room was very clean and fitted with mint condition antique furnishings. The bathroom was the only thing modern and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was homemade Bulgarian and was the best we had in our visit to the country. I cannot say enough. This place made me feel at home.

A last minute booking. Communication was excellent and the owner let us park and check in early. We enjoyed a coffee at the cafe next door whilst they finished preparing our room. The owner greeted us and spent time showing us the best walking route to take, to see the wonderful town of Plovdiv. The hotel is on the doorstep of the beautiful old town. Breakfast was a very tasty typical Bulgarian breakfast served to your table. We loved our overnight stay and would recommend.

Great small hotel in Plovdiv

Had a great stay at Family Hotel At Renaissance Square. Nice and clean room and perfect location with walking distance to the old city and to the pedestrian zone. The host is super nice, helpful and made a great breakfast for us. He even helped us get to the train in time. Recommended with all my heart!

This hotel is just minutes way from the entrance to the old town, and also walking distance to the shopping/restaurant district. The owner (Dimitar) is extremely helpful and friendly, and speaks near-perfect English (he lived in the US). There is a parking right in front of the hotel, which is a plus near the old town. It's a great value for the money.

Dejligt hotel i gåafstand til både den gamle og nye bydel. Pænt og rent værelse med aircondition. Rummeligt badeværelse. Dejlig individuel tilberedt morgenmad. Great service and location!

The hotel has a wonderful location and the service was great. If you have a bad back I would recommend a different hotel as the mattresses are a little hard. Other than that our stay was really amazing!
