"Despite it being described as a "hostel" it is not a hostel in the UK/US fashion. It is MUCH better. You are staying with a family. Who are great! I got my own private room, with my own private shower, toilet ensuite. I had a double and single bed - as I was on my own I only used the double which was very comfortable. "The room we had was great but the property does not have a Bay View as advertised. The images of the interior are unlike anything anywhere near our room. Our room was upstairs and accessible only by going back out to the street, unlocking a door and going up three flights of stairs. That said, the management were nice people which does count for a lot."

"The Havana Dream is a great place to stay in Old Havana. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious with add on extras such as toiletries bathrobes safe fridge etc. The Manager Beatrice and all the staff were so hospitable and responded quickly to anything i needed during my stay. Do take the breakfast there, its served at a big dining table in the lounge and is delicious. Cant thank the staff enough for a wonderful stay. Oh and its only a five minute walk to the Central park square....

"Amazing location, right in Old Havana so we walked everywhere. Lili had great communication, a beautiful, classy, comfortable, well-equipped place. Breakfast at Al Pirata restaurant was excellent. Would stay again in a heartbeat!"

"This boutique is very quaint. The rooms were clean and we always felt safe and comfortable. The rooftop patio is a great little place to have a few end of the night drinks while still hearing the vibrant city life on the streets below. The staff were very friendly and helpful. "Lovely hot shower and the only place I stayed that didn't experience a power cut! So the air-conditioning worked and the room was nice and cool. The owner looked after my case and let me wait in reception for a couple of hours for my taxi to the airport. Only downside was rather a lot of mosquitoes and midges in the room, but they were everywhere in Cuba. I got bitten when I don't normally and ran out of spray (so bring plenty)."

"Very well decorated room with full bathroom, 7 towels and amenities, the reception team works 24 hours and is always attentive, it is very central to walk around Havana and get to know its reality. We were not affected by the lack of electricity because they have an emergency generator, we really enjoyed the varied breakfast"

"Staff was excellent in all respects; very responsive to requests. Rooms were clean and pleasant, if a bit small. Note that our room did not have exterior windows, and based on the layout, I'm guessing many/most of the rooms were like this. However, the rooftop lounge was very pleasant for hanging out if you wanted some fresh air and a view. The included breakfast was good. My only real criticism was that the area immediately around the hotel was not great — definitely not super clean and noisy at times. We didn't feel like it was a high-crime area or that we were in danger, but it was on the sketchy side. The hotel is a fairly short walk from Plaza Vieja, and there are a large number of restaurants within walking distance, ranging from so-so to very good."

"A very good for as a first timer in Havana. Alex the owner gets himself commited in day to day operation of the proerty with his pleasant staffs. You get both the hotel and home experience out if your stay. Good location in vibrant old town. Safety wise, far more safer area than I was concerned beforehand. A highly recommended to other travellers to Havana. Best Wishes team."
