"The house we stayed in has beautiful woodwork and was spacious but also a bit treacherous with a stairway with no handrail and a step up part way into the living area. The beach is lovely and it was not touristy when we there (during heavy rainfall). Howler monkeys entertained us frequently. The maid did a very good job. "Our stay at PuraPura was a dream come true. The unit felt brand new and had everything we needed, including a kitchen and rain shower. Air conditioning worked very well and there were no bugs. Filtered still and sparkling water are free on site and glass bottles are provided. The balcony was one of our favourite spots for a morning coffee and game of cards at night. The grocery store and beach are a short walk away. There's also a restaurant right at the end of the street called Eat...

"A completely run down place. When entering the room there was mouse poop on the beds and the shelves. Taking a shower was impossible because there wasn’t enough water available. Place is not safe. Long dark walkways without any illumination in the property to get to your cabin. At night lots of traffic noise and parties in the neighborhood. Not recommendable"

"Located in the heart of Santa Teresa, this was a decent stop for a couple of nights. Bear in mind it is located directly off the main strip, so it is quite loud at all times. That being said, the property is extremely walkable with all amenities close by, and no 4x4 required to access unlike some of the other properties located up the hill. . The living room AC kept the unit cool, and the equipped kitchen was appreciated. Decent price for the space, and property rep was very responsive."

"This place was absolutely wonderful and I don’t have one negative thing to say. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The grounds were lush and gorgeous. The water slide was super fun. The staff especially at the front desk and restaurant were kind, accommodating and very attentive. I travelled with 3 boys ages 12, 10 and 7. I would highly recommend this place in La Fortuna."
