"Bosque del Cabo is a destination in itself. Overlooking the Pacific and Gulf on the Osa Peninsula it is beautifully maintained, wildlife are all around, trails are rugged and moderate, and the staff could not be more personal and helpful. "Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. "

"This is a lovely place, but I can't give it a great review because on the day we checked-in no one was available at the hotel to answer the phone. Answering the phone when you have guest traveling from out of country, and to a very remote location is standard basic custom service. For whatever reason we could not find our email confirmation the day we were scheduled to arrive and we called and called for 5 hours straight on a Saturday between 12noon-5pm and no one answered the phone. "The view from absolutely everywhere is stunning. We had the chance to see a plethora of birds and monkeys from our little pool in our balcony. The drive there is a little challenging but the location makes it all worth it. Taking a shower indoor/outdoor is one of a lifetime experience. "

"Lovely outside garden and pool. Room was clean and could be kept cool with fan & ac. Shower was cold (not a big deal given the heat) but it also wasn’t very strong. Everything else was great. Location was excellent."

"We loved, loved, loved this place. The room was fantastic and having an open air bathroom was such an unusual treat. We got to see monkeys from our porch as well as many other creatures on the night tour. The food was also fantastic. If we lived closer we would certainly visit again. "
