"I stayed here for a weekend because my friends wedding reception was nearby. The place is beautiful. Maria and her husband are the sweetest! "The amazing host was so kind and caring. He offered to take me to the bus so I could catch it to the airport. He offered to stay and wait for me for two hours until I arrived for my late check in. He really loves the hotel and his guests and I felt so special. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a stop over to sleep and enjoy and humble experience. They gave breakfast and coffee in the morning and again just a wonderful ambience. The rooms were cute too actually. Water pressure...

Hotel website is misleading - we booked Deluxe room but was allocated room 904 which is indicated on website as cheaper Superior room, there was no view of St Matthew hill as claimed, the room was noisy (ac/heating and next door shower) not silent as claimed. Laundry service was also not available over the Easter holiday weekend. En-suite had wc flush leak and damaged shower enclosure that were not fixed during our stay. Issues were raised but...

"Unique colour of building. I asked who I believe was the manager if they did food. Yes came the reply, “what time” I asked, “I don’t know, 7.00, 7.30, no - 8.00” Are there any restaurants nearby the are open at 6.30 to 7.00 - “I don’t know” Are there any in Pozzallo? - “yes, but don’t know any of them” Room was dark and unwelcoming. Facilities on offer are bettered by most guest houses and simple bed and breakfasts. Never is this a 3 star hotel - avoid - you have been warned."

"Lovely old hotel with a lot of character. We were only there for one night but had a good night’s sleep. We were late to check in but there was good communication with the representative who very kindly waited for us (for a fee for late check in after 8pm). They were also very kind and allowed us to leave our suitcases at their office for the day whilst we e loved Scicli which was and chanting little town."
