The resort is a distance from placencia town so if you wanna save money on transportation to town you have to book the free shuttle service that the hotel runs daily. The hours for this service are 10am & 2:30pm. Meals at Umaya in my opinion are overpriced ..."

"Truly stellar pool with three areas of different depths. This allowed children to play more freely while parents enjoyed the pool. Only complaint was limited food options with highly variable quality. Note this area of Placencia has lots of sea grass and sargassum that washes up on the beaches daily. ..."
