The location of this hotel was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed the free wine and truffle popcorn during the social hour. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

The property was fine- very standard. The room was nice- spacious closet! The two problems were: 1- bathroom: the face towels had makeup stains on them. 2- a rat joined us for drinks. I’m a New Yorker so I’m used to seeing rats, and I get it Philly is also a bustling city. But rats hanging out IN the bar- not great :-/ what was weirder was the manager tried to make excuses (we’re near an ally, sometimes things happen etc). He didn’t seem alarmed or overly concerned, which was concerning for a hotel that charges $500-$800 a night. They did offer us free breakfast, which we declined (rat gate had just happened in the same restaurant!!) and they waived our parking charge for the night, so I appreciate that gesture. Stuff happens that’s unexpected. But given the attitude of the staff, it may not be that irregular? And for that, I have to give it fewer stars.

Location was good to walk around to shop and dine. But streets are very tight and we had to wait for valet service for LONG time. Property is not too bad but our room was facing service side (where trucks are loading and construction)) noise level was soooo bad and there is just little gab between buildings. Member of front desk was rude when explained the price was not matching what Expedia quoted. Would choose other property next time.

The property was easy to find and check in was very easy. The restaurant was enjoyable and the servers and bartender were excellent at making the drink offerings and explaining the food options. Accommodations were clean and very comfortable.

The Kimpton Palomar is a very nice hotel in the middle of center city. For us close to where my son lives. The area is walkable to dining, shopping and public transportation. It is close to many of the tourist areas if that’s what you want to do. The hotel was clean overall. The staff was kind and took care of our requests. Cons: I wish parking wasn’t so expensive and there wasn’t a resort fee. I’m not sure why that is even a thing. A microwave in the room would have helped for the leftovers from the great restaurants we went to. The breakfast at the hotel was good, reasonably priced. Overall our stay was great. We appreciate the staff.
