I check into my room and it is 85 degrees in there. I attempt via both window unit display and wall thermostat to adjust the temperature and it appears to be malfunctioning before the display shuts down completely. I go down to the front desk and explain the situation and they send me back up to my room where a maintenance person will allegedly come assist shortly. After ten minutes or so of sweating in my room I go back down and ask if the maintenance person is on their way. The man says he will come up and take a look himself. Obviously useless as it is simply broken. He says he will send someone right away but I am like I can't really stay in there I will wait in the lobby. TWENTY minutes go by (now over half an hour after I checked in) and finally another gentleman FINALLY offers to change my room. Thank God. Should not have taken that long, they should have just moved me immediately. I bet if I wasn't a young woman traveling alone I would have been instantly switched. And the hotel doesn't even include breakfast. Second gentleman did call my new room after to check in on everything which was nice. He was a taller fellow and the shorter man was unhelpful.
