While Pepper Tree Wines have vineyards spread across the country, the heart of the operation is in the Hunter Valley. Operating since 1991, Pepper Tree Wines has grown to be one of the most respected winemakers of the region.

Sample merlot, pinot gris and chardonnay, or go straight for Pepper Tree’s specialties: semillon and shiraz. The Hunter Valley region is known for exquisite semillons. The Pepper Tree Shiraz is award-winning experts say its earthy tones are unmatched in the region.

Many of the grapes for these varieties are grown on site. Visitors have the opportunity to walk through the winery and see operations in action. Pepper Tree Wines is located within the town of Pokolbin in the heart of the Hunter Valley. There is free on-site parking. You can also reach the winery on the Rover Coaches bus service from Sydney and other Hunter Valley towns. Pepper Tree Wines is open daily. No appointment is needed and there is no fee to visit the winery.
