"Hotel Balmi is a lovely, modern, boutique hotel. My room was great, with a nice river view. The location was perfect for me, with so much interesting street life nearby and within walking distance of some of the tourist spots. It’s also easy and cheap to get a Grab taxi if you’re feeling a little tired and lazy! The service at the hotel was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Would have given them at least 4 stars overall but my 15 nights stay was somewhat miserable. Myanmar gets very hot and humid most times. During my stay the building AC was not working pretty much throughout my stay. Walked in and it felt like it was steaming hot. Good thing my room had backup AC unit but that barely cool the room. Laundry was ridiculously priced for a piece of clothing like pant or shirt it was $2-3 which is absurd. However, front desk customer service was pleasant. Until the...

"Bahosi is a 2-3-star hotel in a very quiet residential area. The location is convenient if you are traveling to the Thai embassy (5 minutes taxi), the jewelry market and not a bad trip to Shwedagon (2,500 kyat taxi). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Bed and pillows hard, as are the chairs in the room, so comfort could be improved. Bathroom very small, but shower good. Restaurant is forgettable, although the is a shopping mall within 5 minutes walk. Not much else food-wise for the...

"Gym should at least have a treadmill, bicycle on loan would be good as most shops are far away and difficult to grab a cab. Lastly good to have a washing outside the hotel as the hotel is built to serve the industrial zone....sometimes shoes returning from site could be muddy."
