"Beautiful house filled with great antiques. We had breakfast there every day and the pancakes were stellar! The innkeeper, Jim, was a refreshing delight, and gave us insightful information about local places to visit, including the Austin Dam Park and a spot to see elk (which we did!). Emporium has charm, and was a great home base for us to travel to see the Kinzua Skywalk and the Straub’s Brewery Tour. Would totally stay at the Hygrade Inn again. "

"Buck Inn is a beautiful historical building in a very quiet area. I do believe there were crickets in the basement, but fortunately, I love the sound of crickets. Our room, the Van Gogh, was spacious & comfortable. It doesn't have an in-room private bathroom, but since we were the only guests during our stay, the bathroom a few steps down the hall wasn't a problem. "We were greeted by a man in a tattered sweatshirt in the main house. Then We were taken to the room in a carriage house across a dark parking lot. There were no lights in the entry and there was an sunken entry to the room we nearly fell into the room. There were remains from the previous logger including dirty glasses and trash.
