"Azul Nomeolvides is a small place, only six rooms, quite removed from the world. The rooms are spacious and done rather nicely, if a bit sparse. They're quite open to the world, especially the bathrooms, which are done wonderfully in different stone patterns and feature rainforest-like showers and a wonderful array of lotions such as sunscreen and aloe that you should absolutely try. "Beware! The only property access is a STEEP 200 metre cowpath over tree roots would be dangerous in rain. There were no clear signs Had to drive on that to go back to Bacalar, 25 km. away. Or room was in a building across from the gated facilities on the beach. We were not allowed to use the beach chairs, kayaks etc. Nor was there any breakfast or coffee available for purchase. The person that let is us in did not explain the access to the beach facilities. Nor did she offer contact info...
