"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. It is only a short walk to the main area of Sanur but the property itself is in need of a great deal of improvement. "We felt very well cared for. Security checks on entry and then big smiles and pleasantries from everyone we passed. Little complimentaries like fruit and water in the room, fish feeding and pop corn and a service buggy to drop us at the beach or shopping. We had a poolside with lounge room with was so perfect to spread out on holiday and access a pool lounge when ever. Restaurant and supermarket across the road. Short walk to beach and market shops start a few doors down "

"One of if not the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are beautiful and so clean set in a stunning jungle backdrop. Staff are the single most friendly helpful people you could ask to come across. There is no way we would go back to Bali without staying there again.
