"There wasn't too much around the hotel, but walking to the shops and main area was only about 20 minutes. I did not mind the walk at all, just please watch the road as there wasn't much sidewalk to go on. Very scenic once you veer off and take the actual footpath to the main district! "Anna from Mersina was so on top of it from the get go. Everything was ready for us when we arrived by the 7:25 am ferry, even though we were early. She gave us loads of helpful tips, which made our experience on the island way better than it would have been if she hadn't shared her knowledge of the island with us. There is a bakery right across from the street with amazing coffee and treats, another one close to the apartments with extremely accommodating staff and a supermarket nearby as well. "
