Front desk staff was very rude. There was a sign and on the app for requests like a late check out. It is anything but. Late check out is fee based. $40 per person per room per hour. So an extra hour for my wife and I would be $80. Or about the nightly stay amount. Bartender and security staff at the pool were very poor at doing their jobs. There were many very drunk people. One of which tried to punch me. Not once did security do anything. The bartenders kept making and serving drinks while people were very drunk and rowdy. As long as the tips came in the bartenders didn’t care who they were serving. My wife and I had to leave the pool. Many guests were offended and left too. The specialty restaurants would’ve been nice to try. But as soon as we arrived, there was limited or no availability. Lastly the $1200 in credits offered is a ruse. The average discount available is $20 and should have to be used when you spend $400 first for an obscene highly priced items or services. Most of the credits didn’t even apply to the hotel. Very misleading. I have stood at RIU resorts in the past and this place really changed my perception of the quality RIU has to offer. For an all inclusive resort, was anything but.

We enjoyed our stay. We were very disappointed that we stayed there for 7 nights and could only eat at the Buffet. No reservations were available for any Ala Carte Restaurants! We didn’t care for the food at the buffet. It was disappointing that we had to spend money on food elsewhere when we already paid for it here. Staff was very friendly and nice. Pool was heated and felt great except for Sunday. The big pool was not heated and was cold. Property was very clean. When we checked in we were told that the room was ready but our mini bar was empty when we got to our room but was attended to quickly. We were there for 5 nights before we received robes for our room. When I asked an employee in the elevator I was advised it was supposed to be in our room but there wasn’t any. He kindly sent someone to bring us some for our last 2 nights. Very nice beach at this location. We enjoyed our room as it was very quiet and relaxing. We felt very safe in and around the resort.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable! The food options were excellent, the check-in process was quick and convenient, and the amenities were top-notch. We especially loved our spa experience. However, there were a few issues during our stay, although they did not significantly impact our vacation. The women's sauna was out of service, and we did not receive any updates regarding when it would be available again. Additionally, our room service breakfast never arrived, so we ended up having lunch instead. One concern we did have was with the pool entertainment staff. While we were there to relax and unwind, we found them to be a bit persistent with encouraging participation in pool games. Despite politely declining multiple times, we were made to feel uncomfortable as they continued to pressure us, even making inappropriate remarks over the microphone. This behavior left us feeling uneasy about returning to the pool. Fortunately, the poolside bartenders and other staff were friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated. Overall, the stay was good, but we hope the resort can address these issues for future guests.

The hotel is nice, but my room wasn't cleaned even after the room attendant asked me if I would be out for a while. There was mold on the ceiling, and the air conditioning had humidity issues. The food is decent, nothing fancy, but overall, it's a good property for a weekend getaway.

There are pros and cons to booking here. Having an all inclusive was nice and saved us some $ for sure. We also liked the stocked bottles in the room and mini fridge with mixers so if you just want to have a drink on the balcony, it’s no problem. The buffet was better than average and we usually could find something. We tried 3 of the restaurants and there was usually some issue with the food. They aren’t that hard to get into once you have the app. The jerk chicken at the pool is pretty good. Now for the cons: If you vacation to swim in the ocean, this is not your place. The waves are really swift. I tried and got tossed and injured my first day. I was really hoping for some beach time and we ended up at the pool daily. The rooms were sooo dated and the balconies were small. It felt like the rooms got decorated in maybe 1991 and never refurbished. You can also tell they don’t do deep cleans with dust and makeup smudges on doors, furniture etc. Our AC unit was in the hall and it rattled and leaked water everywhere all over the floor. The fan in the bathroom was also not operational so it was super slippery when you went to get out and the mirror was fogged up so I had to do my makeup in the hall every day. I could deal with all of the above if the location was at least desirable. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. The cons outweigh the pros.

We had an excellent stay. Impeccably clean, delicious variety of food. Warm clean pool. My one suggestion is to keep the pool open later after dark. Downtown is walkable with a few sketchy sections. We recommend this place.

The resort is fine but wouldn’t recommend to those under the age of 40 as majority of the guest are older and there aren’t any “fun” activities. This place is good just to relax in the sun.

Its very difficult to booked the restaurants that needs reservation, bht the buffet had enough options to choose from. Some of the fixtures needs replacing as it makes the rooms look run down. Our bathroom mirrow had a big rust stain doen through the middle the extractor fan was not working so the bathroom would gwt very misty while showering. We had a great view of cabbage beach. Even though minor things failed we enjoyed our say and always enjoyed when we see Iris or Sharon working the buffet restaurant

It rained while we were there, it was leaking everywhere in the hotel and including our room. The front desk changed our room, the issue was resolved with the water leaking in our room.
