"The hotel was clean and contemporary. It was sea facing and situated quite nicely to the best sunset view, fire show, food and shopping. The prices in Langkawi are much more reasonable. The hotel wasn't secluded, and I couldn't have picked a better hotel in langkawi. The hotel extended our check out till 2pm, which meant we could sleep in, rest, and feel more relaxed. "Really amazing place. If you are up for a super relaxing stay, Ambong Pool Villas is a great option.
Super helpful staff are reachable via WhatsApp all day to provide service and advice. You can choose meals in your villa or in the resort restaurant. The villas are meticulously cleaned twice a day, including the pools (to remove leaves etc). The view of the surrounding environment from inside the villa is enhanced by huge windows that face the pool. Lots to observe, both flora and fauna.
Villa 1 (Kemarong) was our villa, which offered amazing views of the bay and islands. It was also a great spot for sunset and moonrise.

"Great three night stay at The Bayou. Staff were polite and helpful with check in. We stayed in the Deluxe Super King which was modern, spacious and clean. The little snacks and drinks vouchers were a lovely touch. Air con worked very well with managing the temperature.
The aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful and all areas were well maintained. The pool was a great temperature and we never struggled to find sunbeds. View from pool is lovely, especially during sunrise.
The food at breakfast was varied. We also ate from the bar menu each afternoon and food service was available from the pool loungers.
Only thing I would like to point out is the gym was very small and only provides cardio equipment, with no weights on offer.
