Palma de Mallorca is a beautiful city and well worth exploring. We booked a catamaran tour which I highly recommend to those wanting to snorkel and get the best view of the cathedral de Mallorca. I wish I booked a rental car to explore Mallorca!

The hop on/off bus a good idea to find bearings & visit a lot of the historical sights in Palma. The wooden train to Soller & Port Soller is a must. Very pretty. Through the mountains, lovely landscape, orange & lemon trees, local farms.

Gorgeous city. Excellent cathedral - go early to catch the sun streaming through the stained-glass window, which gives a magical hue to the interior. Well worth taking the BUS to Soller port (and the tram back to the town).

I got surprised by the city, I wasn't expecting such a huge city and we'll prepared for tourism but still not to crowded for the moment of the year we were there. And the beaches are the bests I've seen in Europe so far.

It seems to be popular with cyclists, there were lots of groups all over the island which could make driving tricky. Castell de Bellver is well worth a visit - unusual round castle with impressive views
