The hotel was conveniently located for Oxford town centre. It provided free parking and wifi and a great cooked breakfast in the morning. We only met one member of staff who was friendly and helpful. The reception area looked good but the room was very dated and the bathroom could do with a complete makeover. It was fine for our short stay and provided tea and coffee making facilities, a warm room and TV.

The only good thing to say about this property was the bedding was clean and the warm room the rest wasn’t very good even the blind was dirty I won’t go on needless to say we would never stay there again

Great price especially for the location
It was our 3rd stay at the Victoria Hotel it is situated on the main Abingdon Road, so is a convenient (20 minute) stroll into the Centre of Oxford, even if you arrive prior to check in they have no issue in you using the hotel car park. The rooms are very clean, fresh bedding, towels and clean bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities included. The hotel could benefit from a re-furb of sorts, new taps, shower and fittings etc, but is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is also included and a good selection too, nice clean full English. I would recommend the Victoria on the whole, great price for the location

Alright for a short stay
Hotel was alright, a bit overpriced for what it is, but conveniently located not too far from Oxford city centre. Building itself was quite run down, with the towel railing in my room about to fall apart. The walls were pretty thin, enough to hear the neighbors talk or what they were watching on telly. I'm glad they were silent at night... Apart from that, bed was comfortable, room decently sized. Breakfast was fine. Milos, the guy at the front desk, seemed quite sulky and miserable at first glance, but you then later realize that's just the way he is, and behind this sad look, there's a nice guy that occasionally makes conversation to you while he serves breakfast, or while checking in or out.

Oxford hotel walking distance to centre
My wife & I spent 2no nights here & were on the whole happy with experience. Good location within walking distance to Oxford, free car parking which was great, bus stop near hand for those who find it difficult to walk over a mile. Due to hot weather glad I brought our fan as no air con (not unusual in English hotels I found). Good choice of breakfast. Shower would really need updating, not good. We would stay again.

Shabby and had not been cleaned. Hairs left on the desk in the room. Dark and dingy breakfast area. Embarrassing for foreign visitors. Should be inspected and closed until it meets basic standards. Better to find a travel lodge for less.
