"We'd read a mix of reviews on this property. However, our experience was that the negative reviews have no merit. This was a great place to stay in the Franklin area and everything about this stay was excellent. The only caution I would offer is to be careful turning into the road that leads up to the hotel as it is at the crest of a hill. The staff at this hotel made us feel very welcome and there were a number of excellent perks at no cost. The breakfast was generous and among the best I've ever seen at a free breakfast hotel. They also had grab and go bags for breakfast on the run. All of this was at no cost. We will definitely stay at this location again."

"We traveled to the area for some winter hiking on the nearby Appalachian Trail and luckily chose to stay at the Lake Chatuge Lodge. Very friendly and helpful staff, our room was large and comfortable, adequate breakfast, and a nice bonus for us; clean and economical laundry machines on our floor. Great nearby locally owned restaurants and retailers too. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up staying 2 additional nights. We will definitely return for our next North Georgia mountain hiking trip!"
