"We only stayed in Otaru for one night, but we would definitely stay here again. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We got there early so they held our luggage for us and delivered it to our room while we were out. They even gave us umbrellas to use when they realized we didn’t have one. ..."

Nice view of canal though it’s very short. Interesting shops along the walking street. Great sweet cafes! The music box museum is more like souvenir shop. About a half day should be enough time to explore Otaru.
