"This was my third stay in the last decade and I would never stay anywhere else in Strasbourg. Wonderful location, 5 minutes from the Cathedral and 12 minutes from the opera, wonderful, friendly, multilingual helpful staff. Great breakfasts. A top notch hotel."

"It is a lovely hotel. The room is beautiful and spacious. It has a mix of tradition with modern finishes. There is a lot of attention to detail in the design, furnishing, and amenities. Service was also great. When I had an issue with the shower, they made sure to help me out quickly. The hotel also has an excellent location. I highly recommend it."

Lovely little hotel

"Nice hotel. Dinner surprisingly tasty for a small hotel but beware it was meant to be cash only which we didn't know so the owner kindly added it to our hotel bill. Rooms nice and comfortable although kids had to sleep in a sofa converted bunk bed. Proprietor is very nice. Parking is ample. "

Cool hotel - comfortable rooms.

"The hotel design is incredible- I hadn't realised that the property had been a prison - unique and interesting and all decoration is to a high standard. Rooms are very comfortable. 1 downside- we arrived late after being delayed due to the most horrendous electrical storm and had called ahead to say we were going to be late and ask if the restaurant would still be open (or we would stop on the way). We were told that it would be open until 11. We eventually arrived at 10. We got food but the bar menu was essentially bruschetta or beef tartare. My colleague is gluten intolerant and asked if she could have a omelette but was told no. We asked for dessert at 10.50 and were told that the kitchen was closed. The staff were professional but there was no flexibility for very tired, hungry travellers who have to look to the hotel as a home from home when they are away. It was a bit of a shame. When you travel a lot what makes things easier and the difference from a good experience to a great experience is empathy."
