Private beach, but mediocre hospitality.
We arrived 11:30pm at the hotel due to a 6 hour flight delay at Paris CDG airport. The male concierge reception staff that checked us into our hotel room Friday was amazing. The bar and restaurant was closed, but concierge made us 2 cocktails and cheese and cold cuts charcuterie board. However that’s when the good customer service stopped. We never received a tour of the hotel compound from reception desk staff. Then we were never informed about any Spa services by the reception desk staff. Next, we were not informed that we had to reserve day beds at the beach a day prior. Private beach was amazing. Super safe to leave our valuables on towels since we had no day bed. The WiFi internet at hotel was horrendous. I could not connect to WiFi and I didn’t have cellular service. Hotel staff didn’t care I could not connect to WiFi. Internet is a necessity in this modern age to research reservations for restaurants, bars, and driving routes. But the most appalling behaviour from Hôtel reception desk staff was check out process. I went to front desk if I should call from my room phone to have a bellboy bring my luggage to reception lobby to get our luggage into car. They said, “yes of course please call.” But in reality when I called the front desk from my room phone the front desk receptionist said, “no it’s impossible I cannot get collect your luggage and haul it to front desk reception check out area.” So I had to hand carry to my heavy luggage up 30 steps of stairs to lobby!
