"I stayed here with my brother twice - once at beginning, then again at the end of a Switzerland trip. This is an older European hotel, and so twin beds, small, few frills. But they do it well - it is very convenient to the rail transport, pedestrian tourist district, etc… if you are flying in and using trains to get around, this is a clean, safe, convenient option if you don’t have desk work to do and you are not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. "

"We had a wonderful 24 hours at the Altstadt Hotel. It is centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere. The bar/cafe was a lovely place to sit outside for tea and a beer before we left for the train to the airport. We found the small elevator a tight fit for ourselves and luggage. That was the only hint of inconvenience."

"Hotel locates right next to old town with lots of restaurants and shop. Many visitors and locals are there eating and drinking so it is a bit noisy but still feel very safe to walk around. It is about 5-10 min walk to the central train station and the main shopping area, 2 min walk to the lake. Overall it is a small hotel in a great location with reasonable prices."
