"So first off, the good: the hotel is beautiful and in a great location. We were very short walks from everything we came to Charleston to do, which was excellent for us . The staff were kind, prompt and very helpful. Valet parking was a nice touch and worth it rather than trying to find parking and worrying about your car in some random garage. "The check in was easy. The room we had was right on the corner of the building and the traffic noise was terrible. The staff was very friendly. The shower in our room could have been cleaned better. Overall the hotel was refreshing and clean. "

"Our room consistently smelled like sewage. The brick hallway/ corridor connecting the rooms to the front desk area also consistently smell of sewage. Hostess at Frannie and the Fox asked me to wait after picking up take out pizza for over 7 minutes while she chatted with another staff member around the corner. By the time I got back to my room the pizza was cold. Bikes were great - nice to ride around with when exploring. Two men at front desk were exceptional- professional and informative....

"This property is convenient and clean with shuttle service to the main drag in the historic district. The bed was super comfortable too. We did eat breakfast in the restaurant one day and it was ok, not great. Still, it is nice to have a restaurant on premises if you are tired. Staff was all very nice and helpful. The pool was closed but I am sure if one visits during the hot time of year they would enjoy it."

"The facility is very nice, as is the staff. The only downside is parking, which is limited at the hotel. The parking garage across the street is available but a bit creepy at night if you are a solo female traveler. I didn't have an issue when I parked there. "

Exceptional

" Wonderful hotel in historic building, located in walking distance from all historic points of interest, in the heart of dinning and shopping district. Customer service was exceptional , helpful and welcoming . Personal welcoming notes awaiting in the room were very nice and welcoming touch ! At night , upon returning from a dinner, we found our room thoughtfully prepared for the night with sheets properly adjusted - nice touch! We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we are in Charleston ! "
