What a delightful little town! Relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of Kennebunk and Ogunquit. Make sure you visit Mike's Clam Shack and the Maine Diner.

Excellent
We have taken many couple & family trips to this area of Maine in the last 20 years, but had never stayed right in Wells. For a town founded in 1623, it is very well taken care of, a perfect blend of old & new, beautiful & inviting.

The beach from Wells to Ogunquit is giant with plenty of space. A lot of traffic but most people were graceful letting you in and out of the lanes. We hiked an easy Mt. Agamenticas and plenty of nature trails around the area

You will not be dissapointed staying here if you are looking for a nice clean spot. If you are looking for something fancy for an occasion this is not your spot. When I am visiting Maine this is exactly what I want because I want to go sightseeing.

Two beaches with municipal parking ($5 an hour). Could find a parking everyone we were there. Groceries are available. A few restaurants but good seafood is rare...

Lovely, quaint, not over commercialized, water front town with such nice people!
"Humble but very well kept. A perfect place for a low(er) cost stay in this expensive area. Plenty of parking and allowed me to leave my vehicle after checkout."
"We stayed for 2 nights. We stay in the area every year and usually stay here. As we were waiting to check in 2 older women were in front of us who didn’t speak fluent English but the person at the desk was very helpful and accommodating. The room had some dust on the bottom edges of things (we assume from the recent renovations/off season) but otherwise clean. The front desk was also very helpful during our stay"
