"I didn’t get the check in info via Hotels.com and their address was wrong. But a simple phone call and an exceptionally helpful and friendly chap sorted everything within two minutes. The cottage was wonderful. So warm and inviting. Comfy and beyond clean. I’m definitely coming here again. "

"The apartment is functional, great shower, clean (other than cobwebs on the windows), fridge, dishwasher, clothes washer, etc. However, it was incredibly hot and the windows are wired so that they can only open about 4 cm. There was a fan in the bedroom but it was extremely noisy. I am guessing they’ve had trouble with people leaving the windows open in the past and so have secured them in this way, but then they need to get AC as this was extremely uncomfortable. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard. "The property is basically a garden shed with basic amenities. There were stains on the floor and walls, only one knife one spoke one fork and one teaspoon and the cups, plates hadn’t been washed and were sticky, plus there were no bowls just plates! On the first night I complained about the smell in the flat which didn’t really get sorted and the next morning we had our first showers in the room. "Well appointed, cosy apartment in London Colney. I stayed on my own, which was fine, however with two people it would have been a bit too cosy! I noted there was a shared kitchen facility although I had no need to use this. I had a few small niggles with the apartment (e.g. no nightstands, no bedside light, ill-fitting toilet seat, no terrestrial tv) however these were minor and overall I enjoyed staying here. Also reasonably good value for money, given the price of hotels in the area."

"Just had a lovely weekend away with hubby. Chose this hotel for location as visiting friends in one direction and Bletchley Park in the other. It was perfectly situated and is a really nice hotel! "It was a totally different hotel experience - in a good way! We were greeted in a lovely lounge/bar by a friendly member of staff. Everything was very modern and fresh. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and retro decorated. Bed was sooooo comfortable! Overall a great stay."

We had a view overlooking Campbell Park and Willen Lake, which from the 5th floor, was beautiful. Breakfast was good and Sky Bar / restaurant is wonderful on 14th floor. Felt very upmarket! Staff across the hotel are very friendly and helpful too. Being nextdoor to a decent shopping centre was too tempting. Found two brilliant restaurants locally as well (Shoulder of Mutton and Warbler on the Wharf) within 15 minutes from the hotel. We'd happily return to Hotel La Tour! Thank you for having us!"
