Had one night to spend in the city and this location worked very well. The room was clean and well presented with heating, wifi, cable TV, and a comfortable bed with towel provided. Windows are double glazed for noise cancellation from the main road. Bathroom is separate with modern fittings, good water pressure and shower gel provided. My stay here came with free buffet like meal from the well equipped kitchen. Friendly staff and would stay again without doubt.
We really liked the place. We had a very friendly and helpful welcome. It was clean and there was a generous self-service breakfast. The price reflects the area, which is not in the best area of town. It was almost like a hostel, with shared facilities. We would definitely come back again.
It's not a large hotel, so it's very quiet and you can use the kitchen by yourself. People are all very kind and helpful. The location is very close to city centre, where you can easily go shopping and take buses. My friend and I spent one night and enjoyed lovely breakfast time here. Surprised by its price and home-like services, I think it's one of my best decision made on the trip. Thanks!
We had an amazing stay, very spacious room, very comphy beds and had a lovely night thanks to the amazing staff.

Clean but very small beds
Room was clean and had an en suite shower.
Bed was tiny though, anyone over 6 foot would struggle in the 'double' bed as I did, so didn't get a good night sleep.
Travel lodge would have been a better choice.
My stay at the emporium was very good, me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time and found every night in the room a joy. Facilities are well kept e.g. kitchen. The kitchen already had alot of food and drinks in making living at the hotel that much better. The location of the hotel is excellent for out of town users and locals alike, pizza Hut is next door, Aldi is just down the road and Victoria centre is a small walk across the road, this makes shopping very easy and no need to catch buses. The staff were very nice and pub below the hotel is lovley. To conclude my stay and the emporium was very enjoyable with only a few gripes which are no more than nit-picks such as no lock on the ensuite door which for a two person room isn't all that bad especially when sharing it with a loved one. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable stay in a convenient location.

Stayed 2 nights manager helpful parking on road inconvenient bedroom and bathroom very clean good location for city centre
Amazing stay. This was my second time stay and will always come back. Everybody from the owner down to the staff was nice and friendly.
What a loving and generous group of people.
We were very disappointed to how hard the place was to find! The rooms were located behind a pub which was very run down. You have to check in from within the pub (which was not specified on the confirmation email). The emporium rooms itself had a sign about 9 inches long which you cudent see from the main road until you drive around to road with a dead end. All this confusion made us 45 minutes late for our reservation at Piccalions resturant! Also there wasn't any free parking. I had to set an alarm to go and put £2 in the meter outside the apartments at 8am in the morning! If i had not of done this we would of had to park in the Aldi car park 300 yards away and pay £15 for an over night stay! Also the room was extremely over priced.....£78 for a very small and cramped room with no bathroom (which my girl friend was not happy about at all!) The plus sides were the staff in the pub were friendly and the place was clean but over all this was very much a stressful stay! I would like a refund for all the confusion caused.
