"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. "Alt stemte med opplysninger som ble oppgitt. Vi fikk i gen beskjed om hvordan vi sjekket inn sent og hvordan sjekke ut. Trekker på service for dette. Men når vi ringte alarmtelefonen for dette så ordnet alt seg! Den servicen var bra! "We enjoyed our stay at Wood Hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The view was amazing. Breakfast was wonderful. We also dined at the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed that as well. Our only issue what that the shower drained very slowly. Since the shower was the same level as the floor, the water soon spread across the whole bathroom. We notified the front desk and I am sure the drain will be clear before the next guest. "

This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. When I enquired about the facility’s I was told the nearest course was over 20 minutes away. This was really disappointing. The property didn’t have an electric charge point either. This has really put me off using hotels.com again now as I don’t know what to expect from the advertised rooms. The room didn’t look anything like the advertised room and it definitely wasn’t a queen bed. The room temperature couldn’t be adjusted and the room was very basic and not what I was expecting for the price I paid. "
