"Very good option for a budget motel. Clean, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. Like all at this very low price point, there's some wear and tear, but they try very hard and do many small things better than expensive hotels. Breakfast is minimal, but adequate and better than some other extremely low-cost places. Wi-fi not so good, but you can't expect everything at this price."

It is common in the historical hotels keep the common areas amazing, but rooms are not updated. This hotel is clean and updated everywhere. People are very friendly, and service is great. I would say that food was overpriced, and quality was ok but not for this price range. The best food we had was in 1796 restaurant-steak was very good, however, breakfast buffet and tea ceremony did not impress... Food was on the heavy side and just not impressive. Otherwise, the hotel is amazing."
