"Great place, lovely food, friendly staff "

"Perfect location for the town centre and Abbey. Busy outside bar and indoor restaurant, obviously a favourite place with locals Good selection at breakfast, hot breakfast cooked on demand, which was excellent on Saturday and Sunday, less impressive on Monday. The bedroom was unbearably hot, the fan was unable to cope, but the hotel could not have mitigated this any more, as the room was in full sun all afternoon. "

"Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1. Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc. We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney for sure as still lots to explore. "

"Good location for our needs. Electric charging points were available and most seemed to be working from what I could see - easy to set-up and use too. Rooms were a good size and the bathroom amenities were very good (shower-gel/shampoo/etc.). Breakfast was good value. Decent pint of Guinness served at the bar (I was only having one but treated myself to a second before bed!). "

"This is lovely hotel on a beautiful location. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is good and reasonably priced. We were in a lovely large room with a die for view of the river and hills"

"Beautiful hotel which was spotlessly clean. Lovely restaurant and bar area as well as great courtyard for relaxing outside. Would definitely stay again "
