We found the Wilderness Inn through Hotels.com and booked a weekend getaway based on the favorable review. We were very pleased with our stay. The Inn has a quaint New England traditional feel much like Newhart. Room was adequate, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was heavenly. Will definitely go stay there again.
Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend. Highly recommend this place. Close to many restaurants/bars and an easy 10-minute drive to additional restaurants downtown and Loon Mountain. There is an amazing breakfast place called Flapjacks down the road but also try out the included breakfast at the Inn. The chef made everything fresh, and it was delicious. I would stay here again. Parking never was an issue, and the staff was nice and accommodating. Stayed on the first floor in the CT room and it seemed more private than some of the others on the second floor. Floors creaked a bit so was nice to be on the first floor. Very safe area as well. Definitely a great romantic stay for couples away from the noise but also a 5 minute walk to the live music at the Woodstock Inn. Win win :)
Alan and Karen are terrific hosts. The room was clean and comfy. The breakfasts were delicious with choices of pancakes crepes eggs and oatmeal. The inn is in walking distance to restaurants and breweries and shopping. It’s also driving distance to national parks. We would definitely recommend the wilderness inn
Our bed was tiny. It was a "full" size. We are two females and we barely fit in the bed. If I brought my husband, we would not have fit at all! Room was barely bigger than the bed. Parking was very difficult; icy to and from the parking area. Hostess not that friendly. My friend was allergic to something that was maybe used to clean, so she was very uncomfortable.
It was hard to leave the Wilderness Inn. The hosts Karen and Alan were so welcoming! The Wilderness Inn felt so homey and the breakfast was amazing! Homemade muffins, fresh fruit, choice of entree, coffee and juice. Three kinds of real maple syrup, that were specially chosen by the host Karen after taste testing the local syrups. I highly recommend staying here!
We enjoyed our stay in this quaint house. The hosts were very nice and helpful with information about the area. The breakfasts were very good on the enclosed porch so we could look out at the surroundings which were beautiful with Autumn colors.
The property was exceptionally clean! We stayed in the MA room with two queen beds. Unfortunately, these were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever encountered. They were so stiff, and noisy when moving around. Even my 8yr old granddaughter said she had the worst bed in the world. However, that is the one and only complaint. The owner was blindsided with us having our granddaughter due to my error while booking. She clearly seemed annoyed. Justifiably so. Despite that awkwardness, she was very courteous!
The Inn was very quaint and had a homey feel to it. The 3 season porch, where breakfast was served, was just lovely and the food was fresh and delicious! It was a very quick and easy walk to "downtown" Woodstock - where we were able to eat dinner and enjoy a cocktail but didn't have to worry about driving back. We'd definitely go back!

Liked: Staff & service
Owners and staff are very nice and willing to accomodate you. Good breakfast. Perfect location for visiting the White Mountains area and enjoying a NH traditional small town. The rooms are small, with no closet space. AC is available but cannot be controlled separately for each room.
Over the 50 years or so we have stayed at a number of B&Bs and this place by far had the best breakfast selections ever! Food and service was excellent. Definitely would be the place to stay at thenext time we visit the area.
