"I imagine this hotel was nice… 20 years ago when the photos advertising it were taken. Such a shame because it’s a nice building in a lovely area. I can’t speak for the original building itself, maybe those rooms are better kept, but we were placed in the outbuilding across the way and the rooms were incredibly tired and shoddy, with chipped paintwork and soiled carpet. "Loved staying here, the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Room was cold on arrival but we were given an extra heater that did the trick in no time 👍. Nothing would put us off staying here again. Would definitely recommend staying here, we will stay again. Beautiful "

"Lovely stay at The Coppice. Everything explained fully on arrival. Breakfast room, entrance hall, stairs, all lovely, warm and inviting. Room had everything to enhance our stay. Short walk up to Windermere and slightly longer down to Bowness. Hosts excellent.. Would highly recommend."

"I liked the area, I liked the hotel , the staff and where it is situated. However, one thing rather annoyed me and it’s so simple to overcome There is One very small glass shelf in the bathroom of number 16 which held our tooth mugs only We had to put our toilet bags and my make up bag on the floor whilst using them. Rather spoilt our break in Mode. Thank you. "
