"The Grand Hotel is just that. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms well appointed and the location second to none. Every time we visit Salem we stay at the Grand as first choice. Very disappointed with any of their competitors. We have traveled extensively and noplace have we found a better complimentary breakfast. It’s remarkable. "

"The hotel itself has totally switched it is a lot nicer in there the baseboards are even new it's cleaner it's way less sketchy than it used to be. "We stay here annually as we visit relatives in the area. The hotel is always clean and the front staff welcoming. Our only complaint is that the included breakfast quality has declined every year. This year I couldn’t even find someone to ask for a glass of water since none was available in the dining room. Ended up going into the lobby to get one. Will still stay here when we visit though. "
