Staff were all very friendly and helpful at this very busy time of year (Christmas lunches and dinners) Many customers supported this inn which included a great local clientele. Log burners in bar area kept the place warm. Furnishings were all old and part of its charm is that nothing matches ! Dogs were welcome in the bar area and there is a friendly adopted cat ! Great breakfast with fresh ingredients. Landlord and staff made us very welcome Ideal location in village setting , close to Penselwood and Stourhead House and Gardens bordering Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. Bedroom was also very old, quirky and comfortable. "
