"Our first time staying at The Anchorage and it was everything we'd imagined - the perfect choice for our anniversary weekend! From the moment we stepped into reception to check in, the hospitality staff went above and beyond! We loved the celebratory champers to welcome us for our stay. Thank you especially to Katrina who made it all happen (so grateful to you for fixing up the room hiccup). "Had the best room in the hotel and it was very comfortable with a nice selection of complimentary welcome amenities. Unfortunately the directional vanes on the a/c weren’t working properly, but it effectively and quietly cooled the room. The bedside light on the bathroom side played up and had to keep tapping it to get it to stay on. Was also able to charge my EV (granny charger) in a somewhat designated spot, which was a plus. was very good. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Only minus point was the hairdryer was faulty and had a sticker on cable advised it was not safe. However it was still in place and we put it on before noticing label. It got very hot and then overheated within 3 second's. This should have been removed from room. "
