"My review is for people choosing among "pousadas" (inns), as opposed to a hotel (which includes more services like phone in the room, room service etc). As a pousada, Catavento is basically perfect: - a great value; we paid, per person, what we would pay in the US for the breakfast alone - beautiful place, both in and out of the rooms. - staff is friendly, helpful and very attentive. They made breakfast 1:30 h earlier than usual on the day we were leaving. - room was huge and new....

"Excellent location, a few blocks down the hill to the center of town and the beach. The property though doesn't feel like it's in the middle of town. Staff were friendly and excellent!"

"The location is fantastic. On the main road in the centro with a quick walk to everything. In front of the ocean with great views of the sea. A helpful staff. Included breakfast was OK. Sufficient. The hotel is one of the older hotels in the area and it shows. The standard room (no sea view) was basic. Bed was OK and could be more comfortable.
