"This hotel felt more like a hostel BUT it was still very nice. Private room with bathroom and great AC. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we had questions. Great location - pretty centrally located. You only had ~10 min walk any direction to get to the “end” of the where there were shops, beaches, and dining/bars. Would absolutely stay here again if we revisited Tamarindo!"

"Although the hotel was small, it was very compact and beautifully designed and felt very open and airy. Because I have mobility issues, the easy access to the pool and restaurant was a big plus. The long beautiful pool was great for swimming. The staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming."

"We spent 5 days in Tamarindo and really liked the Best Western. We had a small balcony, but didn't use that so much as the upstairs patio area that was near the pool. We could catch a breeze there when it was hot and in general it was a nice comfortable space to hang out when we weren't doing something outside the hotel area. Visitors should be aware that on Friday nights, there is a very loud party with music that does on until about 2 AM. We were not made aware of this until we arrived but it happens every Friday night, and it is loud enough to make the walls vibrate. We also had an air conditioner problem that couldn't be solved and it would work, then not work, then work again. Sometimes it got really hot inside the room. Staff was very nice and they kept trying, but we had to keep asking. The included daily breakfast was really good, and my husband loved it and he is pretty picky about breakfast. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay. Small issues, but a very nice staff, nice location, and pretty comfortable."
