"One of the cheapest backpacker hostel in Singapore. First of all, the name of the place is "Checkers Backpacker" on Expedia, but the actual name is "Checkers Hostel". There is another location on Google map with the former name and the same hostel pictures. I ended up spending 1 hour reaching the actual place from the station. Be careful!!!!! Secondly, facility is old, but bed area is maintained clean to a decent level at this price. I had a good sleep as well. Bathroom is not clean but...

"I and my friend stayed at this hotel about 2 nights, overall, it's good hostel. Nice staff, clean room, clean bathroom/toilet, near MRT (about 5 minutes walk). However, the reception is only available from 7a.m to 12p.m, so it was difficult for us to check out at 6 a.m. In addition, the light in room is not enough bright (only one light bulb in room)."

"I absolutely love staying at this property. The team led by Front Desk Supervisor Anis is incredible. Their dedication to excellent service, helpfulness & recommendations were all part of making my stay wonderful in Singapore. I managed to get the same room as my previous stay and I must say, I absolutely feel so cozy and comfortable.
